Sandy Seidel, associate professor of biology, has been accepted as an Institute Scholar at the 2005 Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning’s (CASTL) Institute for Developing Scholars of Teaching and Learning. The workshop will be held June 9-11 at Columbia College in Chicago.
Seidel’s proposal for the program, based on her Project Interweave and SENCER grants, will be featured during the institute. She will lead a session with other scholars and participate in four workshops on a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
Her proposal is titled “Science Without Borders: Inquiry-Based Interdisciplinary Science for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities.”
