Anthony Hatcher, associate professor of communications, presented his research at the Art & Soul Conference at Baylor University in Waco, Texas on April 7. The theme of the conference was “Divine Comedies: Humor, Harmony, and Redemption.” Hatcher’s paper was entitled “Getting Nailed to the Wittenburg Door: The Use of Humor and Satire in Religious Discourse.” Hatcher also teaches a course at Elon called Religion and Media.
