Maurice Levesque, associate professor of psychology, has been awarded Fellow status in the American Psychological Society. The selection process requires nomination by an APS member to a selection committee of APS Fellows. The APS Board of Directors makes final decisions on Fellow status.
According to the APS Web site, “Fellow status is awarded to APS members who have made sustained outstanding contributions to the science of psychology in the areas of research, teaching, service and/or application.”
The American Psychological Society is one of the two major national organizations for psychologists with more than 14,000 members.
