Students will get their turn in the director’s chair when the performing arts department presents a series of one-act plays at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30. A 2 p.m. performance is also scheduled for Saturday.
The plays combine a mix of comedy and drama from new and older scripts. Some contain mature language and subject matter; viewer discretion is advised. Titles and play directors are listed below:
- “Laundry and Bourbon,” directed by Maura Phraner
- “St. Stanislaus Outside the House,” directed by Amanda Taylor
- “A Marriage Proposal,” directed by Amanda Sox
- “Up, Down, Strange, Charmed, Beauty, and Truth,” directed by Elyse Rodriguez
- “Damage Control,” directed by Jay Briggs
Tickets are available at the door only and are $5, or free for those with valid Elon identification.
