Elon University School of Law opens offices in Greensboro

Office space for the Elon University School of Law has opened in the Jefferson Pilot building in downtown Greensboro. Located on the first floor, the office space serves as a temporary headquarters for dean Leary Davis and his staff until the school’s permanent facilities in the former Greensboro Central Public Library building are ready in spring 2006.

The temporary offices in the Jefferson Pilot building are located less than one block from the future law school site. “This is an ideal location as we prepare to launch the Elon University School of Law,” Davis said. “We will be able to closely monitor renovation work at the former library building. Plus, this location is convenient to courts, legal firms and businesses, allowing us to strengthen our connections to the Greensboro community.”

The mailing address for the new office is 100 North Greene St., Suite 103, Greensboro, N.C. 27401. The office phone number is (336) 278-9200.

Renovation work continues on the former library building at the corner of West Friendly Ave. and North Greene St. The $6 million project will provide 69,000 square feet of space, including a courtroom, $2 million law library, specialized classrooms, a computer lab and wireless technology, and individual and group study spaces. The law school will enroll its first class in fall 2006.
