“In Search of the Good Life” by Toddie Peters, Distinguished Emerging Scholar and assistant professor of religious studies, is a finalist for a 2005 American Academy of Religion Award for Excellence in the Constructive-Reflective category.
The awards give recognition to new scholarly publications that make significant contributions to the study of religion. The awards honor works of distinctive originality, intelligence, creativity and importance, and books that affect how religion is examined, understood and interpreted.
Awards in the Constructive-Reflective category are given to works of ethics, philosophy, interpretation, theology or analogous forms of critical reflection.
