Bob Russ, assistant professor of English, has contributed three articles to a recently published reference book titled “Affirmative Action: An Encyclopedia.”
Russ’ articles dealt with the topics of Afrocentrism, historically black colleges and universities and reverse discrimination.
The encyclopedia is a two-volume work, edited by James A. Beckman, professor of law at the University of Tampa. It is designed to serve as a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary encyclopedia that could be the standard starting-point reference work on affirmative action.
The publication contains nearly 500 articles, useful supplementary materials and the full text of the Supreme Court’s 2003 decisions in two important affirmative action cases.
Russ has donated two copies of the set to the university.
