Neagle ’90 publishes novel

1990 graduate Win Neagle has published his latest novel, “Full Count.” A launch party is scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4 at Quail Ridge Books and Music, located at 3522 Wade Avenue in Raleigh. The event is free and open to the public. “Full Count” is centered around baseball slugger Billy Overby, whose quest to hit .400 for the season is interrupted by his off-field exploits.

Neagle teaches in the English department at Louisburg College, where he chairs the Division of Humanities. His diverse career has included stints as a tennis instructor, securities broker, barge driver and tree surgeon.

“Full Count” and Neagle’s first novel, “Smoke and Gravity,” are available at Amazon.com and Barnesand Noble.com. “Full Count” should be available in bookstores the week of Aug. 1.
