Elon is name one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education in the 2006 college guide published by The Princeton Review. “The Best 361 Colleges” rankings are based on a survey of 110,000 college students across the nation.
Elon students responding to the survey said the university is well run, with small classes and outstanding laboratory and computer facilities. The Princeton Review says that “Because of its relatively small size, Elon can boast a learning environment in which professors ‘all give the students their phone numbers and e-mail addresses’ and ‘are readily available outside of the classroom.'” The guide also notes that “the university’s emphasis on internships, volunteering and studying abroad also encourages students to explore the world beyond campus.”
This is Elon’s third year in The Princeton Review’s guide, which is among the best selling publications that assist prospective students and parents in making their college choice.
