Last week, Joel Hollingsworth presented two papers at two international conferences. The first paper, titled “Leveraging Grid Computing in an Intelligent Decision Making Course,” was presented at the Eighth IASTED International Conference on Computers and Advance Technology in Education. The second paper, titled “Grid Computing and AMPL: An Ideal Educational Environment for Real World Engineering Design Optimization,” was presented at the Fifth International Conference on Modelling, Simulation and Optimization. Both papers were coauthored with Dave Powell and resulted from Elon’s participation in the High Performance Computing grant from UNC.
