The annual Residence Life mural competition has come to a close and the judging was tight this year. Thanks to all the participants who contributed to its success this year! The winning entry is pictured at right.
There were three honorable mentions this year:
- Carolina 1st Floor
- West 2nd Floor
- Jordan Center
This year’s winners were:
- 3rd place: Colclough 204 and Carolina 2nd ($25 each)
- 2nd place: Smith 2nd ($75)
- 1st place and grand prize: Colclough 103 ($100)
A total of 37 murals were painted in residence halls around campus during the first two weeks of the school year.
This year’s competition judges were Kathy Smith, Molly Gilbride, Paula Zachary and Tag Gray. Special thanks to Larry Waller and Ernie White from the paint shop and Paige Vignali from physical plant for their help in coordinating the competition.
