Deborah Long, Carolyn Stuart, and Mark Rumley delivered an invited presentation during the 23rd Annual North Carolina Teacher Education Forum in Raleigh on Friday, September 30th. The presentation was titled “Preparing Teacher Candidates to Deal with the Challenges and Opportunities in Diverse Classrooms,” and it focused in part on the sabbatical research that Dr. Stuart completed during AY 04-05 regarding how highly effective teachers work with the parents of exceptional children.
