Toddie Peters, Distinguished Emerging Scholar and assistant professor of religious studies, has published a chapter in a new book.
Peters’ chapter is titled “Decolonizing our Minds: Postcolonial Perspectives on the Church,” and appears in a new book titled “Women’s Voices and Visions of the Church: Reflections from North America.” The book is a compilation of women’s essays which use a feminist post-colonial perspective in interpreting the mission of the church.
The essays are part of an ongoing study process titled “Women’s Voices and Visions on Being Church.” The study was initiated by the World Council of Churches. The writers join women from around the globe in advocating justice for all persons in the life of the church.
