The Leisure and Sport Management Programming & Event Management class organized two very successful events this semester. A “Mr. Elon” pageant was held Nov. 9 in Moseley Center and “Phoenix Force,” a laser tag tournament held at “LazerX” in Burlington, was held Nov. 16. This year’s Mr. Elon is Kamal Jobe, chosen by a panel of judges including faculty, staff, and Sherri Henderson of the Burlington Boys & Girls Club. The winning laser tag team was comprised of seven Elon students playing under the team name “Sweet Tea-No Ice.” These events raised funds through sponorship and event participation to contribute $750 to the Burlington Boys & Girls Club playground fund.
