Advertising executive works with Elon students

Advertising executive Steve Zades discussed a project Elon students have been working on in conjunction with the recent High Point furniture market Tuesday, Oct. 29 in McKinnon Hall.

Elon students worked with Jane Stephens, assistant professor of English, to use the literature, art and mythology of family to create a new brand strategy for Drexel Heritage, an international furniture company.

Zades discussed the processes involved in developing the images, metaphor and story to create the media and text for the new brand. More than 120 members of the media attended the opening day of the furniture market to see Drexel’s new brand strategy.

Stephens’ students in a course titled “Family in World Literature” are working with Zades on a follow-up print project.
