Holly Weeks McDow ’99 was recently honored as one of two Rookie Teachers of the Year in the Guilford County, N.C., public schools.
McDow teaches algebra, geometry and calculus at Western High School in Greensboro. She earned a bachelor’s degree in math from Elon and a master’s degree in math from UNC-Chapel Hill.
She received a laptop computer and was recognized during a recent Board of Education meeting. McDow was chosen for the award from a field of six finalists.
