The event is open to the public. Marlette is an editorial cartoonist who also draws the syndicated daily comic strip “Kudzu.” He wrote a musical based on the strip that starred the Red Clay Ramblers and premiered in Ford’s Theater in Washington, D.C. Marlette, who lives in Hillsborough, NC, is also a novelist. He published the critically acclaimed novel “The Bridge” in 2001.
