The seminar, which brings together noted scholars and lecturers, will be held Sept. 27-29 at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyo. Ellis is one of 15 panelists for the seminar, which will examine Native American education.
Ellis will present work from his first book, “To Change Them Forever: Indian Education at the Rainy Mountain Boarding School, 1893-1920.” The book won the 1997 Gustavus Myers Prize for outstanding work on racial intolerance in North America.
