Van Horn will become the 12th president of Brevard on Sept. 30. He began his higher education career at Elon, where he served in several roles, including director of development, director of alumni and parent relations and director of student activities.
He was an outstanding student-athlete during his undergraduate years, earning Academic All-America honors with the Elon men’s basketball team in 1981 and 1982.
