Hundreds of Elon staffers got a sneak preview of Rhodes Stadium and enjoyed fried chicken, potato salad and dessert on the concourse, shaded from the 90-degree heat. Tours of the media center and special guests suites in the press box proved to be a big hit.
Rhodes Stadium will open Sept. 15, when the Phoenix football team hosts Eastern Kentucky University.
