Elon’s North Carolina Student Legislature delegation attended an Interim Council at High Point University October 26th and 27th. Delegates from schools across the state submitted resolutions for debate. Elon students Kelli McGuirk and Sarah Murphy were nominated by the general body for “Best Speaker” and students Sarah Murphy and Brett Cooper were nominated for submitting the “Best Resolution.” Sarah Murphy received first place for her “Resolution Concerning School Vouchers in North Carolina” and Brett Cooper recieved second place for his “Resolution Concerning Water Restrictions.” Elon’s delegation included:
