Elon students participate in CNN show

Twenty-eight Elon students attended the live broadcast of CNN's "Crossfire" in Washington, DC, Wednesday, Jan. 8, and one of them asked a question on the show. Details...

Robert Koons, a freshman political science major, posed a question about sport utility vehicles and recent allegations that those who purchase them are indirectly aiding terrorist organizations.

The show, which originates from the campus of George Washington University, airs from 7-8 p.m., Monday-Friday. Hosted by Paul Begala, Tucker Carlson, James Carville and Bob Novak, the show features political debate on current topics, as well as audience questions.

The Elon students are in Washington as part of a two-week seminar at the Washington Center, which offers college students the chance to learn about the process of American goverment and meet key politicians and leaders.
