Coverage of the Elon University transition included a front-page story in the Greensboro News & Record.
The May 31 edition of the Alamance News included a special two-section, 16-page report on Elon University. The report, produced by publisher Tom Boney and his staff, included a front-page feature story on faculty members George and Carole Troxler, a profile of President Emeritus Earl Danieley, a feature on landscapers Terry and Wendy Williams, and many stories including interviews with other Elon faculty and staff members.
Media representatives who covered the June 1 campus event included WFMY-TV, WXII-TV, WXLV-TV45 and the Burlington Times-News. Fox 8 news also carried a report on its May 31 newscasts.
