Elon alumni began arriving on campus Friday for annual Homecoming Reunion Weekend festivities, renewing friendships and learning about the latest happenings on campus.
Guided by President Emeritus Earl Danieley ’46, alumni boarded a bus for tours of campus, getting a glimpse of new student housing and construction of the new Academic Village. Special luncheons were held for the classes of 1941 and 1951, as well as a reception for Golden Alumni, those who graduated in the Class of 1951 and earlier.
The Student Government Association sponsored a display of floats, created by various classes and campus organizations, on Young Commons Friday afternoon. President Lambert welcomed alumni back to campus and provided updates on current events and future plans for Elon.
Homecoming continued Saturday with the Elon Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the Alumni Association awards brunch, a football game against Georgia Southern University and the Alumni Extravaganza party from 7:30 p.m.-1 a.m.
