Gerald Whittington, vice president for business, finance and technology at Elon, has announced the promotion of Ken Mullen to assistant vice president for business and finance. Mullen has served as Elon’s comptroller since 1993.
“I am pleased that Ken will take on a more expanded leadership role in Elon’s financial management,” Whittington says. “He has implemented more efficient and streamlined procedures for our accounting department, and has utilized the latest technology to insure the integrity of our financial systems. He previously worked as comptroller at the New York Botanical Garden’s Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, N.Y.
