The visiting teachers had a chance to use the modern microbiology laboratory facilities in Elon’s McMichael Science Building. Led by staff members from Carolina Biological in Burlington, N.C., the four-day seminar offered teachers the chance to explore new ways of teaching complex biological concepts.
The workshop also gave teachers a chance to work with the latest biological lab equipment and test kits.
Teachers, who apply to participate in the workshop, were here from Quebec and several U.S. states, including Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.
