Approximately 4,300 students are enrolled as spring semester classes opened on the Elon campus Monday, Feb. 3. Details...
The enrollment figure, which will be confirmed at the end of late registration and drop/add on Friday, Feb. 7, is about 100 more than last year’s spring enrollment.
Registrar Mark Albertson reports that Elon’s use of OnTrack software for drop/add has gone well, with no major problems.
In addition to traditional courses on campus, Elon students are also studying abroad this semester in diverse locations such as Costa Rica, Denmark, Japan and Spain.
Students on campus will have the opportunity to attend more than 60 cultural events during the spring, including concerts, plays and visiting speakers. Among the term’s notable speakers include Archbishop Desmond Tutu on April 2 and veteran journalist Walter Cronkite on April 8.
