The 22nd annual Telly Awards announced that Elon College Television won a Bronze Telly award for their program Touchdown Thursday Night. Television Services, athletics and many student workers work on this program.
The Telly Awards were founded in 1980, to showcase and give recognition to outstanding non-network and cable TV commercials. The competition was expanded several years ago to include film and video productions as well as non-network TV programming. The programs are judged by a panel of 20 highly qualified production professionals and must meet a high standard of
excellence to receive an award. Last year, more than 11,000 entries were submitted and only 14% were judged to be worthy of awards.
