The Department of Performing Arts will present the Tony Award-winning musical “Urinetown” at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9-Saturday, Feb. 11 and at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12. All performances will take place in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon campus.
“Urinetown” is a Brechtian comedy about a band of oppressed citizens who join together to fight corporate greed and corruption during an extreme water crisis. The production is directed by Kirby Wahl, with choreography by Lynne Formato and musical direction by Kenneth Lee.
Tickets for each performance are $12 or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased at the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
