Peter Felten, director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, is co-author of an article that appears in the new volume To Improve the Academy 24 (Anker, 2006). The article reflects on the process of applying principles from cognitive science research to a major teaching center program: “Practicing What We Preach: Transforming the TA Orientation.” Felten co-authored the article with former colleagues from Vanderbilt’s Center for Teaching.
