Augusta State University professor and artist Priscilla Hollingsworth will open a display of her work with a reception from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27 in the Isabella Cannon Room, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus.
Hollingsworth is a ceramic artist whose work includes sculpture, installations, and vessels. She has shown her work in numerous individual and group exhibitions across the United States since 1985. Photographs of her work have been published in several books, such as “Surface Decoration for Low-Fire Ceramics” by Lynn Peters, “The Ceramic Design Book: A Gallery of Contemporary Work,” and The Best of Pottery.
Hollingsworth has received residency awards from the Kohler Company’s Arts/Industry Program; the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada; the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Maine; and the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works in Doylestown, Pa.
Hollingsworth received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, and bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
An installation of wall-mounted ceramic works by Hollingsworth will be on display through March 30.
