Norris Gunby Jr., assistant professor in the Love School of Business, has had a paper accepted at the 2006 Academy of Management annual meeting. The paper, entitled “Enforced Choice and Political Strategy Making Processes: Performance in Constrained Environments,” analyzes current work in strategy development processes and posits several relationships between strategy development process modes and firm performance. The second paper, “Enhancing Marketing Recruitment Strategies: Administrator Tenure and Nursing Expenditures,” assesses the relationship between expenditures on nursing in skilled nursing facilities and the firm and organizational tenure of the respective nursing home administrators. The results show that highlighting this relationship positively influences the marketing efforts of healthcare providers in acquiring and retaining nursing practitioners. The article will be published in the Health Marketing Quarterly.
