Tuesday, March 7
Women of Color Celebration, 4:00 p.m. in the Multicultural Center
Three faculty members; Christine Cotton, Sirena Hargrove-Leak and Monique Lyle will share their experiences, obstacles, and achievements as exceptional women of color as it relates to the theme Be BOLD, Be Beautiful.
Friday, March 10
Showing of The Color Purple, 6;00 p.m. in the Multicultural Center
Come and enjoy refreshments while viewing this film based on Alice Walker’s The Color Purple about two remarkable black women, acquiring self-worth and the strength to forgive.
These events are to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of the exceptional women of color on this campus and share them with the students of Elon University.
