Members of the Elon community are asked to assist in the search for a new Director of Alumni Relations who will provide strategic vision and leadership for more than 23,000 alumni across the nation. The director is responsible for engaging alumni in the life and advancement of the university through communications, special events and volunteer opportunities. Among top priorities are building the national alumni chapter program, creating a young alumni program, and identifying and developing alumni leadership through the National Alumni Executive Board and other venues.
The Director of Alumni Relations is a member of a senior leadership team reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, and supervises a staff of three. Top candidates will excel in communications, planning, organizing and motivating volunteers. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and significant experience in alumni relations or a similar position requiring successful volunteer management.
