Elon’s club volleyball team will carry a 52-1 overall record and a #1 ranking in North Carolina to the state club volleyball championships this weekend at East Carolina University. The team is also ranked 20th in the nation.
Annie Dawson, staff advisor to the team, says this is the best record in the history of club volleyball at Elon. The team has earned the right to compete in the national club volleyball championships, to be held April 12-16 in Salt Lake City. Elon is the smallest university represented in the tournament but will compete in the top division.
Rachel Hetu and Liz Corey serve as co-presidents of the club volleyball team.
