Three staff members were honored at Elon’s annual Staff Appreciation Day on May 25. The awards were presented by President Leo M. Lambert:
| Connie Keller, coordinator of library technical services and systems, was named Administrative Staff Member of the Year. |  |
| Janice Ratliff, secretary in the student life office, was named Office Staff Member of the Year. |  |
| Leon Knight, floor maintenance worker, was named Physical Plant Staff Member of the year. |  |
This year’s event included a Western theme, and employees were invited to dress for the day in Western attire. Asociate Registrar Susan Patton, dressed as “Miss Kitty” won top honors in the best Western dress contest.
Renowned musicians Riders in the Sky, America’s Favorite Cowboys performed in concert. Following lunch, staff members were invited to climb onto two horses and pose for photos.
