Drs. Casey DiRienzo and Tina Das of the department of economics, Dr. Kathryn Cort, formerly of the department of business administration, and Dean John Burbridge of the Love School of Business have had their paper, “Corruption and the Role of Information,” accepted for publication in the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS).
This paper extends prior research by considering the impact of information and communication technology on national corruption levels. The results indicate that corruption can be lowered by increasing the access to information. Bridging the digital divide can also serve to lessen global corruption.
JIBS is the official publication of the Academy of International Business, publishing papers of significant interest to the theoretical basis of business and international studies.
