An article by School of Communications professor Michael Skube forms part of the chapter titled “Between Cultures” in the fifth edition of “Between Worlds: A Reader, Rhetoric and Handbook,” a college text edited by Susan Bachmann and Melinda Barth, published recently by Pearson Education Inc. In the article, Skube relates his experience attending midnight Mass at a Roman Catholic church with friends from Iran, one of whom was a non-practicing Muslim, the other an agnostic. At the end of the chapter, the editors of the text ask students to comment on observations Skube makes and to compare and contrast his observations with those in another chapter.
