To: All Students
Regarding: Tickets for Sept. 19 Fall Convocation with Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and other cultural events available for first time on Aug. 29
The Box Office at the Center for the Arts will open for the fall semester on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 12:30 p.m. All cultural events tickets are free to Elon students. You must have your Phoenix card swiped to receive a student ticket and you must show your Phoenix card again when you attend any ticketed event.
Beginning Aug. 29 students will be able to purchase Convocation general admission tickets for their immediate families (parents/siblings/spouse/children) for $15 each. The Center for the Arts Box Office accepts cash or check and Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards. The box office does not accept Phoenix cash. If you wish to purchase tickets for your family, you should do so prior to Sept. 12 when any remaining general admission tickets will be made available to the general public.
Convocation tickets for family members of Elon students will be sold only to Elon students who present their Phoenix cards at the box office. They will not be sold to family by phone or at the box office window.
Normally tickets to cultural events are available three weeks prior to the performance date; however, at the beginning of the fall semester we delay opening the box office until the first day of classes to provide students with priority access to these tickets. When the box office opens on Aug. 29, tickets will also be available for The Spencers: Theatre of Illusion on Sept. 5, Richmond Ballet on Sept. 13 and the Greensboro Symphony on Sept. 17.
You will receive a fall cultural calendar in your campus mail box on Thursday, Aug. 31. Please keep this calendar for reference during the entire fall semester. Ticket policy and box office hours are published on the calendar.
