On Saturday, November 18, 2006 many of North Carolina’s brightest undergraduate researchers and creative scholars will participate in the second State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS) at the Jane McKimmon Center in Raleigh. This is a multidisciplinary event and it is free.
Undergraduate researchers, artists and their mentors from all of North Carolina’s state-supported and private universities and from the 58 community colleges are invited. This economic development and educational initiative is designed to showcase talented students and to encourage them to attend graduate and professional schools, or art and dance studios, or to work in North Carolina industries, agencies and emerging entrepreneurial businesses.
Also invited are high school teachers from a cross section of North Carolina’s 100 counties. Recruiters from graduate and professional schools, from the
arts, and from industry and government agencies will be there so that they can invite students into their programs.
Undergraduate research and creative scholars with
their mentors from across all disciplines, including the visual and performing arts are invited to participate. To register, students and mentors must use this
website by November 3: http://www.ncsu.edu/sncurcs.
