We are pleased to announce that Steven House has been named associate vice president for academic affairs and dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences. Steven has served as dean of Elon College since 2001, and now as associate vice president, will join the president’s senior staff and assume broader institutional leadership by way of assignments through the provost’s office. This promotion is in recognition of Steven’s outstanding academic leadership. The arts and sciences programs continue to thrive and improve as a result of his commitment to excellence.
As a member of the senior staff, Steven will add another strong voice on academic issues and gain wider experience on institutional decision-making. His first assignment through the provost’s office will be to chair the search committee for the next dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
