Artist Barbara Campbell will debut a display of art 9 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9 in the Isabella Cannon Room. Part of the James H. McEwen, Jr. Visual Arts Series this event is free and open to the public. Campbell’s work will be on display through Jan. 4.
Campbell’s paintings and drawings investigate how the inherent physicality of paint or collage can be, in and of themselves, image generating. Campbell has described her studio practice as “managed chance,” a method that insures all open possibilities remain in her work.
