Donna Van Bodegraven, associate professor of Spanish and chair of the department of foreign languages, participated in a Phi Kappa Phi-sponsored workshop in Portland, Ore., Aug 5-6.
Titled “Partnering for Success,” the workshop featured advanced skill development in enhancing Phi Kappa Phi chapter public relations and communication, and recruitment and involvement of faculty and professional staff. The two-day program also included sessions on increasing member participation and insuring chapter officer succession and continuity.
Van Bodegraven and 30 other chapter representatives from across the country took part in the workshop, sharing ideas and learning proven strategies to help Phi Kappa Phi chapters work more effectively.
Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, largest and most selective all-discipline honor society.
