Nim Batchelor, associate professor of philosophy, and Professor Emeritus John Sullivan co-presented at an international Philosophy Conference at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, Nov. 15-16. The conference, “Philosophy as Educational and Cultural Practice: A New Citizenship,” followed in the spirit of the UNESCO 2006 Intersectoral Strategy Report on Philosophy.
Batchelor and Sullivan’s presentation was titled “Walking the Talk: Sustaining a Community of Transformative Practice.” Dr. Batchelor also participated in a post-conference day with Professor Oscar Brenifier, president of the French Institute of Practical Philosophy.
