Rich Mihans, assistant professor of education, recently returned from an invitation-only forum held at Princeton University titled, “Opening Doors and Paving the Way,” sponsored by both Princeton University and The Goldman Sachs Foundation. Mihans presented Elon’s new ELON Academy and collaborated with other professionals learning about programs that prepare high potential, underrepresented students for college entry. Representatives from around the world attended the forum, including Princeton, Harvard, Georgetown, UC-Berkley, and London School of Economics and Political Science.
Mihans will serve as the director for the ELON Academy and is preparing for this summer’s first class slated to begin June 17.
