Chandana Chakrabarti, associate professor of religious studies, has been invited to be a Visiting Member of the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton. She will be working on “Quantum Consciousness: Analysis of Subjectivity and Intentionality from a Comparative Perspective” with astrophysicist Piet Hut of the IIAS, Princeton.
Chakrabarti plans to work on the project during her sabbatical leave in fall 2007. The result of the research will be published in her book on “Rethinking Mysticism.” Chakrabarti is signing a contract with Cambridge Scholars Press for the book.
