This year’s class has an average cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.50, from an impressive list of colleges and universities, including Furman University, James Madison University, University of Michigan and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Six class members attended Elon. Students also have an average Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) score of 1080 (Verbal and Quantitative sections combined), nearly 90 points higher than the United States average GRE score of 993 among students whose intended program of study is physical therapy. Students come from 13 states including one each from Missouri and Wisconsin. Popular undergraduate majors include Biology, Exercise & Health Science and Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.
Dr. Elizabeth Rogers, associate dean and chairperson of the department of physical therapy education, said, “the Department is excited to welcome this talented DPT class to Elon! The 38-member Class of 2009 comes from diverse educational and life-experience backgrounds, and many have held high positions in their respective industries.”
