Blood Drive, Jan. 16

Every two seconds, someone needs blood, and supplies are running low. We need your help.

January is Volunteer Blood Donor Month.
Come out and join us in saving lives.

WHAT: Elon Winter Term Blood Drive
WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 16, 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM
WHERE: McKinnon Hall in Moseley Center
WHY: SAVE LIVES!
HOW: Sign-up TODAY by visiting https://www.membersforlife.org/cbsr/schedule/login.php — Sponsor Code 1428.

Elon is currently #1 in the region for blood donations thanks to all the wonderful people on our campus… But Alamance Regional Medical Center is trying to knock us out of that position. Let’s show them what Elon students are made of!

Anyone 17 or older, at least 110 pounds, and in generally good health may be eligible to give blood.

Check the other eligibility requirements at http://www.redcross.org/services/biomed/0,1082,0_557_,00.html

Donating takes about an hour. It may take a little longer for first time donors. But it’s well worth it.

Bonus: Not only can you have the satisfaction of saving lives and make Elon proud… You also get free food, a chance to win free iTunes downloads and an iPod Shuffle.

We are also in need of volunteers to help recruit donors and staff the event. Please let Lisa Bodine (lbodine@elon.edu) or Hannah Williams (hwilliams7@elon.edu) know if you are interested.
