The Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is holding our annual MLK Week honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We encourage the Elon community to come out and support the following events in hopes of keeping Dr. King’s dream alive.
Today Jan. 15: Candlelight vigil with Alphas from surrounding schools at Winston Salem State University followed by a march around their campus. The guest speaker is Dr. Myrlie Evers-Williams. (Watch Tower @ WSSU @ 5:30 p.m.)
Wednesday: Come join Sigma Delta with our brothers at UNC-G as we share part of our legacy through speech and a march to EUC followed by an address from speaker Dr. Joseph Lowery. The Atrium at UNC-G at 6 p.m.
Thursday: Join the Alphas and men of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma, Inc. at the Alpha House at 7 p.m. We will be holding a forum to discuss our success, or lack thereof, at fulfilling Dr. King’s dream. Snacks will be served. At 9 p.m., we will be holding our formal interest meeting in McEwen 214. Business attire is required.
