RSA, students win awards at state conference

Elon’s Resident Student Association (RSA) won 7 awards at the North Carolina Association of Residence Halls 2007 conference, held Feb. 2-3.

Elon was named NCARH School of the Year, and Liesl Klotzbach was named NCARH NCC of the Year. Sara Pasquinelli was recognized as the association’s First-Year Student of the Year, and Steve Anderson, associate director of residence life for community and education, was named NCARH Advisor of the Year.

RSA’s popular Phoenix Phind was named NCARH Program of the Year.

During the conference, students Dan Browne and Rebecca McQueen presented a Top Six conference program on recognition and motivation, and the Elon delegation placed second in the Roll Call competition. Elon also presented a bid to host the 2008 NCARH conference and nominated Brittany Werts for Student of the Year. RSA President Bonnie Brackett coordinated the bid writing process and submissions and served as leader of the conference bid team.
